Tommy Dukes was born in Hattiesburg, Mississppi and grew up in Winslow, Arizona.  He started playing the guitar and harmonica at age 13.   On stage he covers traditional Blues, R&B and his own original songs.  Tommy has entertained Blues enthusiasts all over Arizona.  He has also toured the South.

Some of Tommy's accomplishments

• 1983 Tommy won 1st place in the "Battle of the Bands" in Winslow, AZ.
• 1984-1994 he played "Monday Night Blues at Charly's" in Flagstaff, AZ
• 1990- June 19th , he was presented a certificate for devoted service rendered to Blues Music, by Big Pete Pearson, Scottsdale, AZ.
• Tommy has played for the "Juneteenth" celebration at the Cogdill Recreation Center in Flagstaff, AZ.
• 1990 Tommy took second place in the KLON FM Radio, Blues Talent Contest, Long Beach CA.
• 1992 he was the 1st place winner of the Phoenix Blues Society talent contest. www.phoenixblues.org
• 1997 February 16th Tommy Dukes was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. www.azblueshof.com
• He has played at the "Standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona" Music Festival for several years.
• 2003 & 2004 he placed second in the Phoenix Blues Society Blues Contest.
• 2005 Tommy placed second in the Sonny Boy Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas.
• 2006, November Tommy Dukes & the Soul Kings won second place in the Phoenix Blues Society's Blues Contest and went to Memphis, Tennessee, to the International Blues Challenge, February 2007.  www.blues.org

• February 23, 2002 for Officer Mike Burch Memorial fundraiser, Winslow. AZ

• 2006 Flagstaff AZ. Chamber of Commerce fundraiser.
